One
of the key decisions in purchasing a yacht is not just
the design and versatility but a future return on investment.
This is often the most overlooked aspect of a very important
purchase as many yachts depreciate significantly during
the first 3 years, and you can quickly see your initial
investment worth 33% of that when you come to sell.
Parker’s pride themselves
in two things:
1. Our second
hand market is very active we are constantly being asked, “do
we know of any of our yachts that are on the market?” This
is because they are built to last. We pride ourselves
in understanding yacht technology, customer requirements
and putting these concepts into every one of our yachts.
This means if you do come to sell your boat (why we ask?)
you know you will get a very good price.
2. Our depreciation on our yachts is very
low – we know some customers who have sold at the
same price as they purchased the yachts for – sometimes
more. This is very important in your decision-making. Parker’s
are not the cheapest yachts on the market and never will
be but we retain our value. A 285 purchased 3 years ago
for £45,000 will now still be worth around £38,000,
something that our competition will find difficult to match.
